Getting to Antigua

Airport: La Aurora International Airport (GUA) is located just 25 km from Antigua, Guatemala. Direct flights can be found year round on United, Delta, Spirit, and American. Other airlines with indirect flights to Guatemala City include Copa, Aeromexico, Interjet and US Airways.

Visa and Entry Fee: No visa or entry fee is required for US, Mexico, or UK passports. We recommend checking with your state department for other passports.

Transportation: Private transportation from GUA to Antigua is available for wedding guests at a discounted group rate of $15/person. Contact Antigua Tours with your hotel and flight information to arrange airport shuttles to and from Antigua. Please be sure to reference that you are a guest of the Bankoff/Arreola Wedding.

If you are staying at a hotel in Antigua, you will not need a car to get around town. If you are considering staying outside of Antigua in private rental property, you may want to consider renting a car or hiring a driver. Rental car services are available at La Aurora International Airport.

Explore Lake Atitlán (Spanish: Lago de Atitlán) lies in a spectacular setting in the central highlands at about 5,128 feet above sea level. The combination of Lake Atitlan´s natural beauty and Mayan culture provides stimulation, recreation and relaxation, depending on your mood. Atitlan is a beautiful, 1,000 foot deep lake nestled against three 10,000 foot volcanic peaks - Toliman, Atitlán and San Pedro. Along the shores of Lake Atitlán are a dozen Indian villages where life and customs have changed little over the centuries.
